About Me:
I fully discovered the body's amazing ability to heal after surviving a 40ft fall onto stone a number of years ago. I had been working as a physical therapist in a number of gyms and physiotherapy clinics when this life-changing event inspired a quest to explore various forms of bodywork. This has further enabled me to support others on their way back to health. I was first led to Reiki, studying under some excellent teachers, and then Craniosacral therapy (CST), which I found to be amazingly gentle yet very powerful (and self-empowering). I continue to pursue post-graduate study, including dealing with trauma, stillness, sports injuries and working with mothers, babies and children. (see me and my baby section).
Treatments:
My aim is to assist the body's ability to restore its inherent health . The focus is on the needs of the individual, and treatment proceeds at the unique pace of the individual, which in CST is what the body needs and not necessarily what the mind thinks it needs, reflecting the body's own innate wisdom to heal. The treatments generally last 50mins, with 10 mins of integration/discussion towards the end. This may include what has occurred during treatment, as well as areas to focus on to facilitate positive change to further enhance the body's return to health.
