Graham Stones

Sports, Remedial, Deep Tissue and Thai Massage Therapist

Fridays 2 - 9pm

£60 per hour

Graham came to hands on physical therapy through a background of Chinese martial arts and Yoga. He began his study of Kung-fu in 1985. A few years later he won gold in a national competition and later joined the British team.

His continued nature of enquiry led him to further his interest through yoga which he continues to practice daily and now teaches in a well established yoga centre in South London.

While working on a yoga retreat in Crete he began to learn Thai massage. Since then he has studied Sports massage and Cranio-sacral therapy. Over the last 9 years he has helped many people recover from a wide range of chronic and acute symptoms. Types of people ranging from professional athletes and performers that put their bodies through continued pressure to people that suffer from conditions relating to more sedentary or over use conditions.

He now combines all of his knowledge and experience into treatments that combine;

  • Sports and remedial massage, to treat chronic or specific conditions by focusing on muscle and connective tissue in relationship to the mechanics of movement and posture.
  • Traditional Thai massage which uses, acupressure points, rhythm and stretching to stimulate a better flow of energy around the whole body.
  • Cranio-sacral therapy to facilitate balance between the membranes within the structure of the body. Also to release deep energetic strains and patterning throughout the whole body.

Away from work he enjoys an active lifestyle through climbing, fencing, acrobatics, snowboarding and surfing.

He continues his enquiry through his own yoga practice and experience of bodywork which all of his clients benefit from.

Graham currently works out of the Light centre, and a yoga centre in south London where he also runs workshops on Thai massage in relationship to Yoga.
