Ayurveda is known as an ancient compelling “System of Knowledge”.
The ‘Marma Massage’ is an holistic approach to enhance the well-being of body, mind and soul through the natural simplicity of the motion flowing from heart to heart through the touch of the hands.
The Therapist
Maurizio fell in love with Ayurveda during a life changing experience in Auroville, a unique international township foundation supported by UNESCO. Auroville is an environment that promotes cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and lifelong learning as the basis for peaceful, sustainable societies. Maurizio learnt the Marma Massage under the guidance of his master Umberto Grippo.
In 2008 he returned to Europe and completed further qualifications at the Centro Dharma (Italy), the AATE (Switzerland) and the London College of Massage. He is currently practicing in London as a fully qualified, registered and insured Ayurvedic massage therapist.
Marma Massage
It is a unique treatment of the whole body using organic herbal oils belonging to Ayurveda Tradition. It stimulates all vital energy points in the body, Marma points, gently releasing blocked energy and tension.
The treatment lasts 60 minutes and it is performed with a meditative awareness. I will take a few minutes of meditation to clean my mind before and after the treatment, to give the massage with the compassion, respect and unconditional love.
