Back to Massage

Bodywork Massage Therapy is a technique used to enable the person to release long held stress and tension in the body.

Stress, toxins, postural imbalances, suppressed emotions, trauma, anxiety and over-worked minds can all result in physically manifesting itself in the body; this can take the form of muscular fatigue and tension, ‘knotty’ backs, stiff necks and general tired and achiness.

Bodywork Massage Therapy combines a sensitive, holistic and personalised approach to treating the individual.

The treatment begins with using particular techniques to help the body and mind relax, causing less resistance to be present, enabling the therapist to work at releasing deep muscular tension as well as superficial.

A combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue muscular work, pressure point stimulation, muscle manipulation, stretching and moving the body and breath work is used to relax the body, aid flexibility and release tension.

Bodywork Massage Therapy if received on a regular basis can be used as a preventative therapy, supporting good health and emotional well being and enhancing the body’s self-healing abilities.

It is beneficial for a wide range of conditions including;

  • Stress related disorders such as insomnia/anxiety
  • Aches and pains caused by muscular tension
  • Sports injuries
  • Fatigue
  • Depression/feeling angry
  • ‘Knotty’, tense backs
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • And many more

Treatments are generally given on a couch lying down.
Sessions are available starting from 45mins to 90mins and please note that ALL sessions begin with a consultation/update to assess the best form of treatment for the person.
