Georgina trained in the Pilates technique with Alan Herdman in 2000.
Having suffered a back injury through classical dance training, she developed a deep interest in the nature of our body and mind – physically, mentally and emotionally.
This journey then led her to train in the Gyrotonic methodology in 2003, which incorporates flowing movements based on methods from Qi Gong, Swimming and Ballet.
These movements can help to increase flexibility and fluidity, develop inner strength and stability, and help to bring a more even flow of energy throughout the body.
Georgina then developed an interest in meditation, and wanted to learn more about the mental and emotional aspects that can play a huge role in our physical body and well being.
She then studied Subtle Yoga Psychology, and Self Healing techniques, with Mika Hadar, which she likes to incorporate in her teaching.
Georgina’s classes focus on developing an understanding of our body on a deeper level, and to explore where we tend to hold certain patterns.
By understanding our habitual patterns that we have learned subconsciously, in responding to our experience of life, we can take a step back, and observe where they have come from.
This gives us an opportunity to gently let go of those patterns, and to trust a deeper sense of strength and stability in ourselves, physically and mentally, and thereby a deeper sense of clarity and ease in relation to our world.
