My yoga journey started over 20 years ago, and I have since had the privilege of receiving inspirational teaching and been able to learn from Teachers who have themselves taken a personal journey through the practice of yoga.
My personal practice and teaching is drawn from the more dynamic forms of yoga including Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Jivamukti yoga as well as incorporating softer forms of Yin or therapeutic yoga. I now work to share my experience with others as a yoga teacher and facilitator.
My class style is a dynamic vinyasa flow. The principles of attention and awareness coupled with breath synchronized movement to create a challenging and stimulating practice that strengthens, energizes and relaxes while also encouraging my students to work at their own pace and listen to their bodies.
I teach in a way that assists all my students to discover elements, not only of postural alignment, but importantly the therapeutic and energetic expansion within themselves and the presence of inner peace, tranquility of mind, self-acceptance and deep seated happiness that leads to the state called yoga.
I work both as an independent yoga teacher sharing my enthusiasm for yoga with everyone I teach and offer both mixed level classes and one-to-one private tuition.
I continue to remain, as always, a dedicated explorer of the infinity of yoga and all that it offers, and to realize the eternal spirit which connects and flows through us all. The nature of yoga is experienced in the doing of the practice itself. In essence it is an inner journey to the true centre of the soul which is the source of true happiness.
The intention of my yoga classes is to enhance the student’s well-being through the physical, mental and meditative practice as well as enabling them to develop increased self-knowledge and awareness, while also creating and enjoying a healthy body and a clear mind.
