This class is designed to help mothers to bond with their baby.
Simple and gentle hands on exercises will help soothe colic and indigestion and help ease the stresses babies experience in the first year. It will also support the baby’s development, motor skills and help them to feel more relaxed and calm.
Just as importantly, the class will also help new mothers to get their strength back after the experience of pregnancy and labour and help overcome typical post-natal aches and pains, such as pelvic, back and shoulder aches, plus feelings of tiredness and being overwhelmed.
The class is open for mothers and babies who are not yet walking. (Once a baby can walk then they’re ready for a toddler’s Pilates class).
New mothers can start attending the class 6-weeks after giving birth naturally, or 8-weeks after a C-section. Just make sure you’ve already had your 6-8 week postnatal check up, to ensure that your Doctor/GP hasn’t flagged up any potential problems.
Also, try to arrive 15 minutes early to the class and be sure to report any aches, pains etc to the teacher on arrival.
