Adam discovered Ashtanga yoga in 2000 and has been 100% dedicated to the system as taught by Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India since that time. He has maintained a daily practice for eleven years.
After spending two summers working with Radha and Pierre in Crete followed by time in Cornwall studying with John Scott Adam began teaching in London in 2005.
In 2007 he made his first trip to India as Manager at Purple Valley Yoga Centre in Goa where he met and hosted Sharath Jois and has subsequently travelled to Mysore three times to pay respect and honour to the Ashtanga lineage and further learn from Sharath whom he now considers his primary teacher.
After spending the last two years teaching in Vancouver Adam has returned to the UK and is looking forward to meeting old and new students and developing an Ashtanga yoga community at the Light Centre in London.
Adam teaches with knowledge from his years of dedicated experience and has a genuine desire to share his passion with anyone interested in learning.
Adam is also a vegetarian chef; you can find his recipes and musings on his blog Keen on Food.
