Yoga Teacher

Style: Ashtanga Vinyasa

Class - Mondays  11.15-12.15pm

Siân began to teach yoga in London in 2002.  Before that, she worked in the corporate world and holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy and History.

She has spent time studying Iyengar and Sivananda yoga but her dedicated practice is in Ashtanga yoga. She practises under the guidance of Hamish Hendry at Ashtanga Yoga London weekday mornings. She is a qualified Sivananda teacher and has completed Centered Yoga’s (www.centeredyoga.com) teacher training course which is internationally recognised by the Yoga Alliance.

She teaches children (3-12 year olds) and is a certified YogaBugs teacher.

"I initially began yoga as a form of exercise and to de-stress. I worked in the corporate world and needed something to slow me down and focus my mind. Through practice, I then began to realise that yoga was far deeper than I had ever imagined. Sure, it involves the body but one’s state of mind and attitude to it is of greater importance. It has had a profound impact on my life and I would like to share these positive experiences with others.”

Class Profile

The class will serve as a reminder that yoga is not just about the physical. Yoga is - among many other things - about developing self awareness, restraining the activities of the mind, learning how to channel one’s mental energy and encouraging oneself to think positively. This class will also, therefore, explore our mental functions and how the mind can work to improve the body.

Suitable for all levels.
