Osteopathy involves the use of manipulation, soft tissue techniques and other associated skills to help create balance, symmetry and free movement.
Since qualifying from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007, I went to live and work in Auckland, New Zealand. I currently own a successful clinic in Titirangi, Auckland which is where I have been practicing osteopathy for the duration of the past four years.
My main areas of interest are the treatments of headaches, neck and shoulder injuries and pregnancy pain. Post graduation, I also trained to perform visceral, paediatric and gynaecological osteopathy, as well as cranial osteopathy for babies and adults. My main focus is on structural musculoskeletal dysfunction, with a recent interest in jaw pain, (for those who suffer from jaw clenching and grinding). Dry needling techniques (Western Acupuncture) is also performed if it is deemed necessary.
My treatments are individually tailored to concentrate on integrating the area of dysfunction to the rest of the body. As a qualified Naturopath; exercise prescriptions, dietary and lifestyle advice is also part of my practice. I enjoy getting my patients actively involved in their recovery process, thus allowing the body to heal itself, to enhance their quality of life.
