Quote from Martine “What I love about Pilates, and having passed on its wisdom time and time again, is the essential simplicity of the technique. Organise the skeleton in an economical fashion and address the muscle imbalances. The body is a wonderful structure and will do the job for us”

ABOUT PILATES

Pilates is a method of exercise that is based on a body-mind philosophy developed by Joseph Pilates. The essence of the technique is that our health and well being originate from having a strong core of muscles that support the skeleton in its optimum position allowing the organs and muscles to work in a balanced manner. During a Pilates session through a series of exercises both on a mat and using specially designed equipment you will execute precise and well aligned movement with limited repetitions in a tailor made program specific to your individual needs. No two people are the same and therefore your program will be designed uniquely for you, targeting any imbalances in the body and presenting more economical solutions to maximise health, ease of movement and general well being.
