Natalia is a fully qualified Pilates teacher, having received her certification from the Pilates Foundation in 2006. Before moving her focus to Pilates she had pursued a career in dance, having trained and studied in Madrid, Cannes, New York and London. Her specialist areas are in ballet and Modern dance, and she has performed and taught in both disciplines. The strain placed upon the body by her chosen first career had encouraged her to take a keen interest in activities and techniques that can help in both the prevention of and recovery from injury. Having benefited from the Pilates classes that she had taken whilst recovering from injury, she decided to take her interest further and enrolled in the Pilates matwork teacher training course held at “The Place”. The course leaders were Hannah Jones, Suzanne Lahussen and Sonia Noonan. Following her qualification she moved into full-time Pilates teaching, working in gyms, surgeries and fitness centres around London for the past three years. In addition to her teaching she regularly attends Pilates Foundation workshops and classes to keep abreast of current practices and methods. Stemming naturally from her dance background, her classes place a particular emphasis on flow, bodily control and postural alignment to prevent injury and create a better posture.
