Held on the first Saturday of every month.
8.00am to 10.00am
This class is for students who are familiar with the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, but don’t necessarily have to have completed the full series.
The class is counted in Sanskrit and instructions are given on the correct vinyasa to move in and out of each posture. Focus is on the breath and the collective energy of the class moving through the practice as one. It’s great for those who have a regular Mysore practice and would like to learn the correct vinyasa count, dristi and the asana names. Not suitable for complete beginners.
Please arrive for 8am.
After practice (from 9.30-10.00am) there is an opportunity to come together and talk about Ashtanga yoga (both asana practice and yoga philosophy underlying this system), with space for Q&A.
