ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
This is a challenge designed to help you establish a daily yoga practice. Regular yoga will increase your fitness, agility and your all round health!
Why 30 days? Because research suggests that it takes at least 21 days to form a new habit, so by 30 days you’ll be properly in the zone…..
HOW TO PREPARE
You don’t need any previous Yoga experience. Just turn up!
If you have an acute injury eg. a knee injury, don’t do the challenge until you’re properly on the mend. If you have a chronic issue such as a bad lower back, the challenge might actually help — just inform your teacher before you start a class and modify your poses if needed.
HOW TO STICK WITH THE CHALLENGE?
During your challenge, take it easy — particularly in the first week and set up your own intention for the challenge. If you have a particularly busy time at work or you’ve booked a vacation then you should perhaps delay the start date until you have some clear space.
Keep all your yoga props — block, blanket, bolster etc — near to your mat so you don’t have to break the pose to reach for them. If you’re tired stop and don’t go for those dramatic poses until you’re ready.
Scheduling your yoga time in your diary just as you would with any other event or meeting and take it just as seriously.
